My birthday is Tuesday. Last year I got cancer for it! This year, the eighth anniversary of my 29th birthday, is much better! After a long family vacation in paradise, we came home and I went to the surgical oncologist that performed my radical resection in March. This is the first time that we were able to talk about long term prognosis. His thoughts: I'll have no further problems with this issue! I had a PET/CT last week and there is no evidence of regrowth or metastis! God is good!
Praise God. However, this thread is useless without a photo of the dog.
I am extremely happy to hear your great news. Just goes to show that we have to be our own health advocates and can no longer just dumbly submit to whatever doctors say. We have to do our own research and actively participate in our health care (and that of our pets).
That is wonderful news! Prayers for you to remain cancer free..
Prayers of thanksgiving for the good news about your cancer and congratulations on the new doggie!
I have been in a similar place with oncologists and I have fired a few myself. I tell everyone to read and research their diagnosis, then ask questions of their doctors about treatment options. This is your life, not the doctor’s. Do what you think is best for yourself. Don’t be pushed into something that you doubt.
And Happy birthday!!!!!!
