I'm ready to go to bed to make sure I am rested for the first day of Convention. It's been a fabulous experience for me so far. All the hand wringing about unbound delegates..not so. All the angst about delegates fighting.. uh uh. Everyone in the Arizona delegation is getting along, we're all having a great time. Today we were invited to a special screening with Dinesh D'Souza to see his new movie "Hillary's America." It was interesting, it was more about the history of racism in the Democrat Party. Not sure how it's all going to play out, but it's in your face and can't dispute the facts. We had kind of a red carpet thing which was fun. I will try to post pictures. After the movie there was a big party thrown by Cleveland at the waterfront with free food and drink and fireworks. Got to meet people from all over the Country and check out the security. It is major security, long lines, but everyone understands. There is an inordinate amount of officers and volunteers. It's pretty amazing. Saw no protestors, not even anyone unhappy! I guess I'm lucky. The busses ran well...I'm having a ball. And the convention hasn't even started yet! I have spoken to people on the Rules Committee. It wasn't pretty, but they got it done. We hear the official platform is the most Conservative ever and people are pretty shocked at some of it. The convention starts at 1:00pm tomorrow. I am on a committee called "Permanent Organization" it's pretty much a formality, but still kinda cool. I have special credentials for it.
I am very excited for it all to start. Just wanted to let you all know that everything seems to be running smoothly and everyone, at least the ones I've encountered, is excited to nominate Donald Trump.
Oh, we also got some great swag!
thanks, hildy. please keep up the Freeper-on-the-street reportage for us. it’s quite unique. it’s nothing like we’ll ever see on the tube.
Judging by the outdoor shots on Fox the weather looks great. But don’t be surprised if there is a thunderstorm while you’re there. There’s usually about one a week there in July and sometimes they can be a real corker!
All good back here in Peoria, Az. Some welcome cloud cover.
How far from the convention hall are your quarters?
A freeper behind every blade of grass. Sounds like I have my newest tag line.
Hope your experience is a safe one, Hildy.
Donald Trump is a breath of fresh air in our political system and I hope everyone stands with him and cheers him on.

Good to hear, thanks for posting; please update us once a day, at the end of the day.
wow what a thrill... have a fabulous time and keep us posted if you can..... a FReeper in the heart of the convention action!
Nice, Hildy!
Can’t wait for your reports,Hildy!
Have a great time.
Pretty cool we have our very OWN Freeper present! Have a great time and let us know how it all goes.
Great to hear a positive report, thanks so much! Keep ‘em coming!
Great report. Can’t wait for the next one! Please stay safe and enjoy the cooler weather (as I patiently await for some rain).
Thank you! Exciting to have “eyes on the ground” there!
Thanks for the update. Keep us inform.
Welcome to Cleveland, Hildy.
I was down there, too, but no credentials.
Love how CNN gated off an entire block to keep the politicians, celebrities, and people with money away from us unwashed Clevelanders, but it’s all good. I wouldn’t have bothered regardless.
I saw four CodePink clowns, Dr. Gil Mobley who had a meltdown over being called out as a Soros shill posted online, but you are right - nothing.
Secret Service, FBI, too many states to mention of law enforcement. They appreciated the applause when they walked down 4th street.
Safe to say, we have law enforcement vote this year :)
Have fun, and if you want some good food (Michael Symon’s B Spot, Rocco & Rosie’s Pizza, and a good deli), the best secret spot is the second floor of the casino. Walk in to Jack, take the second floor and enjoy really good local food without waiting for a table or it costing a lot of money.
Thanks for checking in! Keep the reports coming.
