I had never heard this story - I think I’ll get that book.
The movies always make it seem like he died shortly after being ####ed by “Fitz” in the pardon deal that kept him from running for Teamster Head until 1980.
3 or 4 years is a long time. He was let out in ‘72 and killed in ‘75, I assume.
I’m suprised the Mafia let him shoot off at the mouth for that long.
Read the book also. Made a connection between the young Joe Biden and Sheeran. He delivered the union votes for Joe’s win as Senator against an entrenched Republican.

Really good book. Glad it’s Scorcese making the movie: it might actually be good.
