Early May was when it came out she would take a gap year before college. Did the photos come out before that? Seems like she planned on taking the break anyway.

She’ll probably get Harvard credit for the year off, calling it “World Experience Seminar, 18 credit hours - Prerequisite: wealthy progressive parents, such as, offspring of influential liberal politicians.”
Also, for 3 credits the student may wish to blog, facebook, snapchat, twitter, grinder, etc. or an old-fashioned 5-page handwritten essay.
The latter will give the student 3 additional credits for archeology and an additonal 1 hour archeology lab.
Finally, a 5-min tweaking video will gain 4 hours credit, and a 60-min video documenting insights gained while smokin’ weed every day of the year.
This experience will be worth 10 credit hours, giving the as many as 21 additional hours, for a student a total of 39 credit hours for the year off.
I have the damnedest feeling that you’re right and one of his daughters is going to fly contrary to the rest of the family. Chewbacca only cares about the optics. Her kid is smart enough to know that and probably resents them for having to live a sheltered life.

..........I don’t know whether Obama and Michelle are disciplining the girl at all or even whether she did any of these things.
And, I guarantee, no one on FR despises Obama and his wife and democrats and the press more than I do.
That said, I wish everyone in the press, and forum commenters on all sites would leave candidates kids out of the fray. Since Obama is a lame duck and not running for office it’s difficult for me to see why his kids are anybody’s business.
I agree; I do think Michelle is a good mother, as far as I can tell. The girls always seemed polite and respectful; perhaps sometimes bored at long events, but that's normal.
It must be hard to be a teenage child of a president. Nothing goes unnoticed. Especially in the era of cell phone cameras.
