face it, todays seniors are the most pampered privileged group in history, especially the ones in their late 70's and early 80's...they escaped the depression and most of them didn't serve in WW2....yet they came of age when they paid little towards SS and got on the ground floor of America's economic boom....

Agreed. I know a few 70 year old guys that Beau hunts with; they are NUTTY when it comes to politics! All of them hate Hillary, but they’ll vote for her, anyway!

Granted, some of them have worked a little harder than others, but I’ve never met a bunch that thinks they DESERVE everything...for pretty much doing nothing with their lives.

I agree with you, but that is not a very popular stance to take here on FR. Fact is, my parents generation (the boomers) have spoken - they have chosen to take every dime that was promised to them by the spendaholic politicians they elected and let their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren pay for it.

They are on top of the pyramid scheme and they don’t give a damn who has to pay for it or how bad the damage will be to their children and the nation. This is not true for all of them, but it is absolutely true a majority of them feel this way. They tell us “but, we were promised” never admitting the pain that will come later. They simply don’t care. They will not be around when winter comes.

They will vote for her because it is in their selfish interests.
