He said reindeer tend to stay very close to each other in bad weather, which could explain how so many were killed at once.

An unusual event in Norway, over 300 reindeer killed by lightning, in one location. Adding to the mystery, they did NOT blame it on global warming???

They have to do something with them. Normal carrion eaters and other things that clean up nature will not eat an animal that’s been killed by lightning.
