Until the 1960s, the 'gimmedats' were in the minority.

At that point, Teddy Kennedy got control of the center-of-gravity of the United States congress.

Kennedy thought that America had killed his brother. Even though the actual killer was a Communist loser.

So Teddy decided that America had to go. If America could kill his brother, he could kill America.

Now the 'gimmedats' are a majority, and we're in a world of hurt.
