It's been said that being required to register as a sex offender everywhere you go for the rest of your life is worse than the jail time. It never goes away, always worried about the knock on the door, who's going to find out that you're a deve - it takes all kinds of forms of torment.
Don't get me wrong. The guy should have done serious time. But in some ways his sentence has just begun so we can be glad about that.
