The right purse is so hard to find and so essential to many women, I’ve often thought of trying to make one myself. I can never find one that’s really the way I want it to be - and probably wouldn’t even if I spent $1200.
I’m always thinking about insurance. It’s like my interpretive filter for life.
:)
Everyone has one, if they would only admit it.
I just had to throw away my purse and get a new one. I’d had the old one for only about three years, but it wasn’t very sturdy. Its good point was that I could keep an awful lot in it, while its bad point was that I couldn’t find anything in it. It was like a black hole.
I don’t love the new one ($18.95 at Walmart), but I haven’t lost anything important in it yet.
It’s probably not hard to design and build your own, if it’s a fabric sort. Harder to learn leather work. (My husband noticed my frustration when I couldn’t find one that had precisely the compartments/configuration that I wanted, and suggested I learn to make one - haven’t gotten ‘round to it yet.)
But I have also found great things - I’m especially remembering an ideal pair of sandals - from the cheaper stores; things that cost little, lasted years, were perfect - and I was too dumb to rush out and buy several while I could :-)
