They want happy pills because life is too hard.
There are probably some of them seeking prescription meds to abuse or sell. It is a big problem on college campuses that few talk about or notice.
This story is sad. Too many of our young people have been raised to believe they are special and the world owes them something. They are not grounded because they struggle to believe there is something far larger than them. God. Even if you are not a Christian, Jew, or practice another faith, the simple idea that there is a deity puts us on our place. Life simply makes more sense when we don’t place ourselves first, yet our society in the past decades has indoctrinated children that they are “special” and we owe them something.
I wonder how many of our “psychological” problems are really a problem of the spirit?
