Nope, not even close. Out of a short pistol barrel a 32 can gin up 129-160 ft pounds. Pushing a 60 to 72 grain bullet.
A 22 can only do that ME with a rifle length barrel with a 32 to 40 grain bullet. In a 2 inch pistol barrel it’s about half the power of a 32 acp. And it gives you the added benefit of less reliable ignition.
I love a 22 and carry one sometimes. I know it is lethal too. But no, its not the same as a 32 or 380 glass gun.
But I never carry less than a .380 in the Sig p232.
Less than a pound and no sharp edges.
