Questions to ponder:

There are two main possibilities: It will turn out that most jobs just are not doable by robots with even very sophisticated robotics and AI, or most jobs will be doable by sufficiently sophisticated robots.

If the first is the case, then does it mean that we humans are somehow different than the rest of the material universe? For example, do we have souls and having souls are we capable of much more than soulless machines?

However if the second is the case, then:

1) Are we just biological machines without souls whose biological systems have tricked us into believing we have them as a way of giving us a reason to live beyond mere physical preservation?

2) Will this suggest there is no God? Everything is just matter and energy.

3) Regardless, it seems as if humans are happiest when they are working toward a goal and have purpose. Will being replaced by robots rob us of this path to happiness?

4) Will governments decide certain jobs will just not be done by robots in order to "make work" for humans?

5) Will robots have to be taxed in order to generate the income necessary to put everyone on the dole?

6) If robots are even better at making YouTube videos, playing chess, composing music, painting seascapes, etc. than humans then will this leave humans with only three pursuits: sex, drugs/drink, and watching video screens?

7) If robots are even better at sex than humans, then will humans become totally isolated, each one interacting with the world only through video screens and robots?

8) Will this lead to mass die-offs of humans as we lose purpose and commit suicide or just choose not to procreate?

9) Will this be the beginning of the singularity where AI robots will takeover, but in this case, without even a fight from humans who will be too busy playing video games or locked in their VR chambers?

10) Will this lead to the creation of "reservations" (a la Brave New World) where humans who wish to live as humans did before AI robotics will be allowed to live their backward lives without harassment or fear of obsolescence from robots?

The one thing we know for sure is that what leftists think will happen, definitely won't. They believe that work is mostly drudgery. They believe that freeing people from the drudgery of work will free up their creative instincts and lead to a flowering of art, music, film, etc.

The problem with that theory is that people will want to see the best art, listen to best music, watch the best films, etc. And that art, music, and cinema will not be created by humans, but by AI robots.

If this worst case scenario unfolds, then most humans will become drug and alcohol addicted consumers of crass entertainment. A few will wander out to the "rez" and live like the Amish ... or Amish with cell phones. Lots will commit suicide or entomb themselves in VR systems.

Everything will be primed for the AI takeover.

The absolute worst case scenario is if it turns out that the best AI robots don't really have self consciousness, but only simulate it very well. In that case humans will be replaced by a species that will be going about doing things without really experiencing or understanding what the heck they are doing.

It will essentially be very sophisticated rocks moving about among just plain old rocks.

Just watched it.

This is the dark, hopeless, satanic future of the world without the soon return of our Lord.

Great discussion so far, especially from Fardels...wow deep thoughts...Rockefeller was frightening...these elites and their choas-causing foundations...they cause more damage than good...they want their money and. control and are so arrogant to think we are stupid for not enjoying their engineered solutions. They are collectively insane because all of their communistic solutions have all been tried and failed yet they still promote them with a smile...like the smiling Indian guy. I told my son’s they are part of the solution - that is why they watched.

Be vigilant! Be prepared...but have no fear and pray and trust in Whom you cannot see.
