The five stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. People are now moving from denial to anger, thus the protests. Many will be stuck in denial for a long time proclaiming, "He's not my president." If you watch, you will see a gradual shift over the next few weeks, culminating in the reality of the change in presidents January 20th.
People go through the stages at different rates depending upon how attached they were to the person who lost and their own individual coping skills.
The worst part is that the depression phase for many is coinciding with the "Winter Blues" period with shorter daylight of December/January.
Liberals, unfortunately, have their own five stages.
1. Utter melt-down.
2. Striking out at anyone who likes anything they don’t like.
3. Blaming everything on racism.
4. Whining in public. Whining in print. Whining on the toilet.
5. Plotting revenge.
I’m not really interested in their “5 stages of grief” BS! They’re spoiled children who have been taught they can have anything they want and were never told “no”. They’re never wrong.
Someone I know raised her 3 kids that way. One snapped out of it and is conservative and joined the military. The other 2 are snowflake libs that are crying “foul” on Trump.
Pretty much nailed it.
I was at a local pub for a bit after dinner Saturday. Was talking with a group of folks, when a guy who’d come up next to us to get another beer perceived we were talking about something vaguely political (we were not talking about Trump at that moment, though we had been).
“Did any of you vote for Trump? Because if you voted for Trump, I don’t want to talk to you!”
Really? LOL, get over it buddy!
I’m going through the one stage of shut the hell up, you morons.
Good post. Like others point out, we need to be most ready for the Fifth Stage. “Acceptance” will indeed lead to “Revenge.
We need to remember that the Commies never, never, never quit. Elections and the levers of government are just means to an end for them. That “end” being their total control of us all.
Add to that trying to convince themselves and others that they had a good candidate. Reality always beats them down on this so they have to double down on the others.
Unfortunately they never get past stage 3.
Get ready for 4 years of this BS. It’s not going to stop.
With respect, grief entails an emotional connection.
Hillary had no emotion and therefore no connection - her most ardent supporters admitted this even before the election.
This was ‘retail politics’ ie bribes for all at its most craven, cynical level.
Instead, what we’re seeing are groups angry and scared that the ATM isn’t issuing free $20s anymore.
You are so right.
We forget how he leftist press savaged both Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.
But the treatment they received is nothing compared to what, I believe, President Trump will receive because President Trump is there to truly end the socialist nightmare that has been in control of this nation for so long.
There are always hidden motives - or, more likely, a simple case of monkey see monkey do.
Groupthink was never more of a problem than in this election. The Dem candidate was as wooden as a log cabin but everyone was exhorted to believe she was funny, interesting, etc.
Now that Trump has won there is emotional reinforcement on offer to complain, laugh, mock, threaten, etc. as the groupthink shifts to its new nexus. The weak-minded, the insecure, the esteem-seeking will always gravitate toward that side of the fence.
You are so right.

_____________
It’s a good thing Trump isn’t thin-skinned. He can take it.
I remember the election of 1972 Nixon vs McGovern whom all the leftists and hippies wanted to win. When Nixon won there was nothing like the circus of freaks we have going on today. We have so many spoiled brats raised by a defective society today and it shows.
Coffee on iPad alert.
“With respect, grief entails an emotional connection.
Hillary had no emotion and therefore no connection -”
You are correct in that Hillary is a malignant narcissist.
Narcissists do not have emotion as it relates to others as they have no empathy or compassion.
They do however have emotion as it relates to injury of their ego self.
If you look at the attributes of a narcissist, Hillary exhibits most of the characteristics. They are most easily identified by their trail of victims.
Narcissists use scapegoats. As nothing is their own fault.
They use surrogates to do their dirty work so they can keep their squeaky clean facade of self.
They are hungry for power which is usually exhibited in “Greed.”
They view the emotions of others as weaknesses as they use them to manipulate.
Please note, the title is about Hillary supporters who are highly emotional and irrational, not Hillary.
1-5 Well-stated. Thanks, Previous.
BUMP!
Narcissistic Personality Disorder Symptoms. Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a disorder that is characterized by a long-standing pattern of grandiosity (either in fantasy or actual behavior), an overwhelming need for admiration, and usually a complete lack of empathy toward others.
Here are DSMVs requirements:
1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance.
2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
3. Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions).
4. Requires excessive admiration [regularly fishes for compliments, and is highly susceptible to flattery].
5. Has a sense of entitlement.
6. Is interpersonally exploitative.
7. Lacks empathy: is unwilling [or, I would add, unable] to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.
8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her.
9. Shows arrogant, haughty [rude and abusive] behaviors or attitudes.
In addition:
1. Are highly reactive to criticism. Or anything they assume or interpret as negatively evaluating their personality or performance. This is why if theyre asked a question that might oblige them to admit some vulnerability, deficiency, or culpability, theyre apt to falsify the evidence (i.e., lieyet without really acknowledging such prevarication to themselves), hastily change the subject, or respond as though theyd been asked something entirely different.
2. ...Have low self-esteem. This facet of their psyche is complicated, because superficially their self-regard would appear to be higher and more assured than just about anyone elses. Additionally, given their customary “motivated or driven nature,” its not uncommon for them to rise to positions of power and influence, as well as amass a fortune,
3. Can be inordinately self-righteous and defensive. Needing so much to protect their overblown but fragile ego, their ever-vigilant defense system can be extraordinarily easy to set off.
4. ...React to contrary viewpoints with anger or rage. In fact, this characteristic is so common in narcissists.
5. Project onto others qualities, traits, and behaviors they cantor wontaccept in themselves. Because theyre compelled from deep within to conceal deficits or weaknesses in their self-image, they habitually redirect any unfavorable appraisal of themselves outwards, unconsciously trusting that doing so will forever keep at bay their deepest suspicions about themselves. Getting anywhere close to being obliged to confront the darkness at their innermost core can be very scary, for in reality their emotional resources are woefully underdeveloped.
6. ...Have poor interpersonal boundaries. Its been said about narcissists that they cant tell where they end and the other person begins. Unconsciously viewing others as extensions of themselves, they regard them as existing primarily to serve their own needsjust as they routinely put their needs before everyone elses.
