President-elect Donald Trump says New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is "a very talented man." But he is not saying if there is a place for him in his administration.
Christie was one of a parade of officials visiting Trump Sunday at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club. Christie, a former candidate for president, was an early backer of Trump. But he was recently demoted as head of Trump's transition effort. It is now not clear how big a role Christie is now playing.

I’m really not too thrilled with Christie.
Anyone but Romney.
Trump has to appoint hundreds of people (I think I saw the number 3000 somewhere?). Just because Christie might not get a number 1 slot, doesn’t mean he won’t get a number 2 slot.
Unclear? Really.
Remember that photo of Christie, weighing around 100 pounds more than he does now, giving Obama a big hug? My spies saw that photo with an inscription on it lying on Trumps desk.
And the inscription:,”Chris - Couldna done it widout ya, Your friend for life. Barack.
Jared Kushner’s father was prosecuted for federal tax violations and went to jail. The US Attorney in charge of the case was Christie.
Can’t see him fitting into a Trump administration in a meaningful way.
Christie has lots of baggage. Best if Trump wants to work with him and Christie wants out of NJ to give him a role that does not require confirmation. Maybe somewhere quiet and out of the way.

“Jared Kushners father was prosecuted for federal tax violations and went to jail. The US Attorney in charge of the case was Christie.”
That is not relevant. The relevance is only that Christie allowed a soccer mom to take the fall, and be sentenced to prison - when Trump learned of this, he immediately tore into ChristieCreme because Trump believed the Governor had disgraced and dishonored himself by his action/inaction..
Trump is THE man, and as such; he has no tolerance for girly men. OTOH, some are saying that bringing Christie onboard would be a stroke of Genius. (for several reasons) IDK.
I voted for Trump and I am glad that he won. But I haven’ t become a fanboy ( or girl, as the case may be.)
Do you actually expect a reasonable person to believe that Christie’s involvement in the Kushner case is irrelevant at to whether he would be included in Trump’s cabinet? Good luck with that one.
I don’t know enough about bridgegate to comment, but I doubt that Christie letting an underling take the fall had much to do with Trump’s decision. Perhaps Trump just didn’t want the publicity attached to his administration.

“Do you actually expect a reasonable person to believe that Christies involvement in the Kushner case is irrelevant at to whether he would be included in Trumps cabinet?”
Yes I honestly do. Trump is a businessman - he is focused on his goals, and would not ever be deceived by Jared Kushner - Trump has spoken highly of that young man and considers him to be a voice to be listened to since he declared his Candidacy; whooped JEB! and all the rest - up to and including his nomination, and subsequent Victory.
Trump will discard any incompetent or devious employee, and has proven that through his run. Why does Jared still have Trump’s ear? Trump is twice as smart as Don Corleone.
