What you said and the fact that the ‘sport’ is designed to utterly destroy the human body that is.
I’m boycotting the NFL until players are not allowed to play football if they can’t stand for our National Anthem.
The other thing is once people realize they can get stuff done on Sunday and it is no longer part of their habit, the ratings will continue to tank.
After yet another year of watching the Gators’ anemic offense, I’m all for doing away with football.
If owners don’t get rid of the kneelers, ain’t nobody gonna watch the Steelers...or anyone else for that matter.
Jeeze, it’s not the Roman Empire. The teams this year just aren’t very good. The only really good game I’ve seen this year was KC V. Denver. That was a great game, especially since Denver lost.
The ####ing budweiser commercials with gay marriage and transgender pushing.
Now some new f...t commercial about patriotism being more than loving America but loving diversity also.
espn’s liberal bull####.
Who the #### thought it was a GREAT idea to go after the gay/transgender viewership? All 3.
And the women empowerment commercials. Good luck with that. Cause that’s what guys love to see.
Pander to everyone except your base. Knock yourself out.
I LOVE football but it’s just a game and I’m glad budweiser had to rush “macho” commercials into production because their f....t commercials with seth rogan (used to like, now hate) have sent sales tumbling.
And the Coors commercial saying “we dont do politics, just beer” or something along those lines was great!! No more bud in this house. Ever.
NEVER again Target. Never again Bud. The Sicilian in me allows no forgiveness for their deviant decisions.
Baseball on the other hand is doing well.
Football should guarantee players contracts, the owners are scumbags and deserve everything that’s coming their way..
20 years from now, what's the ratings gonna be?
I think all the injury crap is just a liberal weenie fantasy.
The real reason it sucks more is because it stopped being like it was in the 70s. Then it was just real men, playing a cool game and little else. The Super Bowl has become a joke, a caricature of itself.
The halftime Vegas style overproduced extravaganzas are annoying. The guitar playing football robots on TV. Way too many commercials. Unsportmanslike crap like icing the kicker. Instant play review on every other play. Why not just take the calls and breaks as they come? And its a bunch of unpatriotic thugs with long dreadlock hair hanging out of their helmets. Games every other day of the week. Games in London. And ESPN is a whole other story.
They have just overplayed their hand. Give me Cowboys and Steelers from the 70s. That was football worth watching.
they play baseball in heaven.
I detest every rule change made since Don Meredith smoked marlboros on the sideline when defense was in
The players besides thuggery garbage are crybabies who won’t play hurt
Quarterbacks and receivers are treated like snowflakes
Jane Skinner is wasted on that spineless Roger Goodell
Average IQ today is prolly 75-80 yet they quote went to college
Unless Vandy it doesn’t count for much....does the NFL have a Vandy grad....they have to do class there and grades
I could go on and on
My dad was a top 25 national college player and drafted by Giants
And I grew up around players including the aforementioned Dandy Don
I played 7 year of my own life from 4-10th grade
My middle boy is the best defensive back in our county for high school frosh
My wife is a crazed...like Squeaky Fromme level Crimson Tide and Death Valley tigers fan
She’s still crying over Mike
She’s LSU first and Tuscaloosa second
I try to explain how the pros are so watered down
Gotta protect those quarterbacks who can’t marshall from the pocket but love to run
It’s like the NBA has dry humped the NFL and created a new class of kilngons
And I like some of them but it’s like real life....the bad ones outnumber the good
To show you how far it has fallen in my eyes, I'm posted a message on this thread and I don't even care enough to list all the reasons why I lost interest in it.
They are through with wasting their weekends watching a bunch of overpaid junkies and overpriced commercials line the pockets of these alphabet networks and owners.
Personally, I gave up on PROstitute football 10-15 years ago when all the monkey dancing started. Made me sick to watch a person dishonor themselves after accomplishing something so small as if they were the only ones that made it happen.
Still love a good High School game though and attend them under the Friday Night Lights.
I’ve seen a lot of sloppy playing this season. Too many penalties, which I’d chalk up to lack of discipline.
Football never has and never will interest me. Frankly, I don’t see how guys can constantly watch ESPN and Sports Center and listen to sports talk radio. It would drive me mad.
Truthfully, I never picked up the interest, since I worked during high school and after Vietnam I considered any physical activity less than combat to be useless and unexciting.
The Kaepernick thing is just the icing on the cake; the whole activity is a waste of time and money to me.
Anyone want to bet that the decline in viewers of televised NFL games coincides with the politization of the game by ESPN talking heads and players refusing to stand for the national anthem? The cost of attending live NFL games has skyrocketed as teams build lavish stadiums, largely with taxpayer money, and push ticket prices beyond what all but the very rich or politically connected can afford. The cost of tickets to games in even the nose bleed seats of the taxpayer funded Minnesota Vikings new stadium is unaffordable to most. However, pricy box seats on the 50 yard line are being doled out at bargain prices to local politicians and their cronies.
I was informed by Mrs. Dweller a few weeks after we watched ‘Concussion’ that her interest in pro football, already low, has bottomed out.
Hilarious article. So much ink wasted. Writer plays the role of Inspector Clouseau fumbling, bumbling , when allthewhile the glaringly obvious is everywhere “kneeling” in plain view.
