Excellent article. Steyn is one of the best. His point about enforcing a border and not ugly barriers around our shops and cultural events is spot on. Trump should use this in one of his speeches.

I try hard to understand the liberal mind......here is Germany a high tech country, disciplined to go to work in the early morning, party at certain times of the year, mainly religious to a certain extent....why would their leader invite worthless desert tramps to live among them....no technical skills, no work skills, getting up in the morning is a challenge.....Germany is finished....

There is a book written by Jared Diamond (the guy who won a Pulitzer Prize for “Guns, Germs, and Steel”) called “Collapse: How Civilizations Choose to Succeed or Fail”.

Germany and most of Western Europe has simply chosen to fail. I think Toynbee said that civilizations are not murdered but commit suicide.
