For those who have never been in a sizable quake, I was in San Jose in ‘89 quake, 60 miles from the center.
I dove under my desk and quietly said to myself...”I wonder if I’m going to die today”

Folks were stationed in Japan in the 1950s. We had slow rock and rollers every few days. Then, about once every few months, a whopper, up and down, streetcar jumped off the tracks whammo...
