on Chrome? I wouldn’t know how it runs on Chrome. I’ve used the Windows version for years. Yes, it lets you collapse the hierarchy and the level of difference indicators still show the highest directory that something is or isn’t ‘the same’
It does compares for file and folder, deep compare or ignore unimportant differences, also Sync as in Update one or both sides/Mirror one side to another, etc.

No, chrome means the borders and other fringy parts of the UI. Imagine if Word was 80% borders and toolbars and so on, and the document windows was only 20%. That’s chrome.
