After five years in the role, Rosalind Brewer is the longest-serving CEO of Sams Club, Wal-Marts wholesale chain. She is the first female African-American chief executive at the company, and her departure leaves no women or people of color with a CEO title at Wal-Mart.

Wall Street Journal (WSJ) sure is into Social Justice Warrior (SJW) virtue signaling these days.
“and her departure leaves no women or people of color with a CEO title at Wal-Mart.”
So?
and her departure leaves no women or people of color with a CEO title at Wal-Mart.
If there is any white skin showing, no. You will have transgressed the unwritten law.
Given the present quota climate, one always has suspicions.
But, was she good at the job?
I believe she is the one who said that diversity in hiring was more important than competence at Sam’s stores. I let my Sam’s membership lapse last year. It wasn’t expensive, but Costco runs rings around Sam’s, and I was simply not going anymore. But, at least they are diverse.
“No purple of color”?
What does that mean?
White’s not a color?
Yes. More winning!
I ask, so what? How has that helped them be better, because someone has darker skin than others and has different genitalia than others? Prove it made the company better in a quantifiable way. There ought to be factual proof.
If skin color and genitalia, both external characteristics, just inherently makes things better, then a lot of black companies and businesses really need to start hiring white men on their boards and management teams.
Maybe they have more polite rioters on Black Friday. Maybe they only trample the white folks then.
I see no reason why its important as most shoppers have no idea or care who is in charge at that level. They dont care. They just want to shop.

Yes, she’s the one who proudly declared she deliberately hires minorities when white candidates who are more qualified apply for the same position.
And this was the reason we also let our Sam’s membership lapse last year as well....and haven’t missed it in the least.
She is the first female African-American chief executive at the company, and her departure leaves no women or people of color with a CEO title at Wal-Mart.

Wait, isn’t that against the law or something? Aren’t they required to have at least 15 colored women executives for every 100 employees?

The WSJ has become just another liberal rag. If you want a business daily try IBD.
No, you are thinking civil service.
What’s virtue signaling to some is gag inducing to others... like you and me.

Lucky for me, I was not drinking any liquids when I read your post. Good one!
