I read the article, and I agree with Senator D’Amato. Whenever I’m on a flight where they request people to move, I’m usually the first to volunteer. And he’s right. The Captain should grow some balls instead of just sitting in the cockpit waiting for the flight attendants to sort it out.

You obviously didn’t read the article.
To: lafroste
It was more like he was rallying the passengers to listen to the captain and move to the back of the plane as requested. He was not against the crew.
To: Lurker
Actually, the audio made me laugh. He tried to rally the troops (the passengers) without success. He was quite polite about it unlike his successor, Charles Schumer, who called a flight attendant a “bitch” because he refused to turn off his cell phone.
To: lafroste
Rally others to further delay their schedules?
Does he think the aircraft weight/balance is a comedic routine?
People no longer know how to behave with quiet dignity.

Did you even read the article??? That is exactly what did NOT happen.
To: lafroste
Hard to sympathize with the pilot/airline on this one.

I agree with D’Amato. The captain should have gone into the cabin and ordered some people to move back, especially after all of the delays.

Were they forcing the Italians to sit in the back of the Plane?
Maybe D”Amato was sitting with his Wife. I hear he lovingly calls her by her nickname “Rosa”.

Reread the article.
D'Amato still should not have confronted the passengers.
The pilot makes all executive decisions aboard the airliner.

The mainstream media is trying to portray this as a Schumer-Democrat-like power play.
He was a good senator and NYers turned against him. Not me. I voted for him.
