I’m not understanding ‘full fat’ - there’s no fat in regular or diet soda, that I’m aware of. Maybe the author was being euphemistic...

After drinking diet sodas for years, I can’t stand the regular stuff. It’s too syrupy-sweet.

Agreeded. I drink diet drinks not for weight control nor diabetes. I have neither. The sugared drinks taste too sweet and I do not like them. If I am drinking less calories, ok. That is not the objective.

Nope, no fat. My guess is that the author thinks sugar is fat, or makes you fat, or something.

I never used to drink diet soda, but now it's the only one I'll touch, for the same reasons as you (unless it's with Jack Daniels or a good rum). My wife tried diet soda once and thinks I'm nuts.
