Shower beer is deadly serious, friend.
I was indoctrinated when my dad would take me backpacking as a teen. After several days of being hot and filthy, getting a shower at the end was cathartic and awesome, and a beer while showering was part of the reward.
Later as a mountain biker I’d return home scraped and coated in dirt, and by then I had synthesized the act into my overall worldview. It got necessary calories into my system during a pivotal period.
Overall, meta-lesson learned: Decant into plastic. Glass in shower ends in tears.
