“Fresh off the Boat” was a far better show. Same theme, just with an Asian family, but they dont act like a bunch of racist “I hate America” dopes.

I ran across this show a couple of nights ago looking for something decent to watch. I had never heard of it and was appalled at the few seconds I saw. No hesitation whatsoever to use the president-elect’s name - the script didn’t even PRETEND to be non-biased! I can’t believe it will stay on the air. I’m surprised that it’s been around for a couple of seasons. Apparently it met their needs and didn’t encounter controversy. What did they do in the other seasons without Trump to lambaste? SICK!

Oh gosh. It was actually funny and even handed as every Blackish episode is.
HBO did a series a few years ago—The Number One Ladies’ Detective Agency based on the series of mystery books. It is set in Botswana. Except for a few Indian characters, an all-Black cast (American, British and African black actors). But because race wasn’t a factor in any of the stories, the color of the actors soon faded away. It was the story and the characters that became the focus. Africa and Botswana are central to the stories, so the characters have to be African, but “blackness” isn’t that important. Anyway a good series to check out.
We don’t watch it and will continue not to watch it.

Another reason not to watch the network garbage. When does the show, “White-ish” debut? Network TV is nothing but a multi-culti, LGBTQP-worshipping bunch of propaganda, anyway.

The female lead of the show is the daughter of Diana Ross— of the Supremes. I don’t know who the father is, but this woman is NOT very attractive, IMO.
The past 2 years of TV shows have been complete supplications to every group out there-—Gay—Lexbian—black—Asian—& just plain goofy.
I won’t watch a single one of them & I won’t watch all the ‘awards’ shows because after just a few months, these ‘actors’ are being given all the awards.
I call it a participation award-—certainly NOT an award for excellence.
None of it is interesting—prefer to watch Lone Ranger reruns.
