I do believe there should be a solution that decouples health insurance from employment.

I believe that was one of the main reasons companies started offshoring. They didn’t have to worry about paying for Sanjay in Mumbai’s health insurance.

A root cause of the problem is that decent paying jobs have become rare as the Prog class has successfully pushed their "zero sum game" mindset. In a booming economy, companies compete for workers. In the present economy, workers compete for a scarce number of jobs.

Jobs are made scarcer by loosely goosey rules allowing employers to import indentured servants or even hire illegal aliens with little fear of fines.

Cure that fundamental, get rid of stupid mandates and allow sale of policies nationwide and you will see employers offer better plans as an incentive to attract workers.

It worked during the labor scarcity of World War II. It will work now without a damn war if the zero sum game mentality is changed.
