Trump is a comedians dream to mimic...he is so larger than life..his face..voice..mannerisms...stream of consciousness way he talks.

Doesn’t Regis have to be like 110 years old?

I've been a total fan of Dana Carvey forever. He is such a great impersonator, he can do two people at once. One of his old-time acts was combining Johnny Carson, a white midwesterner, with Arsenio Hall, a black hipster, into one character. It was howlingly funny to audiences at the time who saw both late-night hosts frequently.

One of my favorite bits was the song "Chopping Broccoli", a spoof of pretentious hipster musicians and their ludicrous lyrics. I first saw it when he performed it on SNL with a crowd of actors, including Sigourney Weaver and Phil Hartmann, playing the part of other hipsters at a party, marveling at these profound lyrics: "She bought some broccoli, she brought it home, she's choppin' broccoli!"

Choppin' Broccoli by Dana Carvey

The left, whether comedians or `journalists`, will never really get Trump unless and until they realizes one fundamental truth, which is that Trump is smarter than they are. As long as they keep thinking they are smarter than Trump and not the other way around, all their `comedy` and political analysis will miss the mark.

We saw this bit a week or two back on DVR. It was very funny. Reggis is unfortunately losing it. The wife was bailing him out alot on the week of shows he did out in LA for the Hallmark channel.

I saw Dana carvey live at a private function two weeks ago. Hysterically funny. His act was highly political yet not mean or biting in any way.

Real comedy from a real comedian.
