Footage shot on 1/31/17 in Grosse Pointe Park, Mi. We saw a few of these growing up as kids. Dad had a scanner and when he'd hear about one, we'd follow the sirens to get a glimpse...and help out when we could.

Awesome! I’m a photography buff.

Can anyone out there recommend a drone/camera combo that gives video quality and flight stability this good? One with range beyond eyesight?

DJI Phantom P3P as a starter. DJI Mavic is a bit more, but has better technology for ease of flight. Depends on needs, skill level, and what you want to spend.
I own a Mavic and an Inspire. Have also flown Phantoms.

Have fun!

Oh, and read the regs on usage. While many consumer UAS have the ability to fly beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), it goes against what the regulations and recommendations state.

That’s a good way to get your drone knocked out of the sky by a high pressure blast of water.
