The kid is definitely a product of the public education system. He will go far in the DNC.
My goddaughter (in Viet Nam) could have drawn that when she was, not two years old but 22 months. She would not have because her parents would never have permitted it. I got to watch her for a few weeks when I was visiting then. She had then the hand-eye and fine motor of a ten year old. She is eight now and is the star in her school. She didn’t begin to talk, though until she was three. Teachers bring their friends from other classes and schools to watch and listen. I know one other kid like that who is 36 now. NASA hired him when he was a senior in High School and paid for his University time. Austen didn’t waste the time. He designed one of the projects on a Mars Rover.
Every kid eventually draws his first picture - just like every kid eventually manages his first dump in the toilet - it’s lavish praise for trivialities like this that teaches today’s kids that they’re extra special, that their ideas are so far superior to others’ that they have the right to silence and even physically attack anyone who doesn’t see and celebrate their special superiority.....
Yup. When I was in college I used to tutor kids in math. One kid in particular wouldn’t consider any suggestion I made to him because his teacher had told the class that there was no right way to solve a math problem, and the only thing that mattered was that you tried your best to solve it. If you did that, your answer was as good as anyone else’s.
Teachers are not only failing to teach children what they are supposed to teach them, they are making it impossible for anyone else to teach them, as well.
