One could argue that those who are best qualified to give early warnings of tyranny in the making are those who’ve lived the fully matured variety.
There’s a video making its way around Facebook of a woman who lived under Hitler as a very young child and she says everyone calling President Trump a fascist has no idea what fascism is. She calls the anti-Trumpers fascists.
While I didn't personally live it, my Grandparents did in Mexico when they came to the USA to work for the railroads, 100 years ago in 1917. "For Greater Glory" is a great movie that sums up nicely what was going on there in Mexico at the time.
I was told of the hangings and the shootings, all in the name of more statist government control, by my Grandmother, as they escaped all that when my Grandfather got a job with the railroad.
This coupled with growing up in the 80's wondering why the media and the culture hated President Reagan so much. I come to learn about our Constitution because of this, and our God-given rights and liberties it protects. I became self-aware as a teenager on the dangers going on in our governments and have been an advocate for our Constitution ever since.
