Of course the problem here isn’t drug gangs. Unless you consider doctors a gang. We’ve been over prescribing opioids in this country for decades, then we have the audacity to blame the patient for getting hooked.

A few years ago I had both knees replaced. I took Percocet as prescribed since I had been warned that without sufficient pain relief physical therapy would be less successful. BIG MISTAKE!

Getting off those drugs was the worst week I have ever had in my life! A true walk through hell.

One of the knees became infected and had to be removed. Three months later a new one was placed. This time I was MUCH smarter and only took the pain medication if pain was a level 3 or 4. I had no problem getting off the drugs. None at all!
