#5. What was he wearing (or not wearing)?
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
The things we males risk our lives for...
BUT DAD!!!! NOW I’LL NEVER GET A DATE TO PROM!!!!!
Reminds me of an old BFF in high school whose dad threatened her boyfriend with an axe when he found him in bed with his daughter.
“Derrick Fulton, 49, shot dead Jordan Middleton, 17, as he ran out of a bedroom wardrobe he had been hiding in thinking the youngster was an intruder.”
“He called out a warning that he was armed and yelled for anyone in the house to come out.”
“Fulton heard nothing so burst into the bedroom, saw the teenager run out of the wardrobe and fired his gun.”
“Middleton was hit once in the chest as he attempted to run out of the room and fell to the ground.”
REALLY? In the middle of the night? Your house, your rules. Actions have consequences.
“However, you cannot not go shooting everyone that your kid invites into the house and claim your kids friend is an intruder.”
The guy was hiding in a wardrobe in another room. The daughter was not in the room. The Father called out a warning that he was armed and yelled for anyone in the house to come out.
The guy tried to run (which most likely meant toward the Father who had just entered the room door)........
Young boy? He was an old boy, nearly an adult. Stupid teenagers, doing this to themselves and to their families.
It’s certainly sad, but if the facts reported here are true, I don’t see a crime here. Both teenagers acted foolishly and it cost one his life. This isn’t the first time teenagers didn’t stop and consider the possible consequences of their actions.
I have three teenage daughters, a big dog in the house, and firearms. I’m certain my daughters know better than to try to sneak a boy into our home at night, but I’m going to discuss this story with them anyway.

" Girl Sneaks Him In""sneaks"...implies the girl was aware she did not have authority to grant such permission/access.
"Middleton ran out of the closet"Clearly, Middleton was aware he was not granted permission/access by the home-owner since he was hiding in the guest bedroom closet.
This is a terrible set of circumstances bought on by the homeowners defiant daughter. She will have to live with the consequences brought on by her poor decision making. Not only did she know she was breaking confidence with her father - she sneaked in this boyfriend. She must have been aware her father was armed to ensure his family's safety, yet she risked sneaking her boyfriend into the house without his knowledge. Defiance.
A young man is dead. Her father will forever question whether he did everything he could to prevent such a tragedy.
It was three in the morning. He was 17 she is14. Got what he deserved
It was three in the morning. Minors have no authority to invite someone into a house they don’t own...particularly at threebin the morning
It was three in the morning
And a young woman will know forever that her lust, and her dishonesty, and her disrespect for her father got him killed.
The wages of sin is still death.
She is 14. It was three in the morning
Not at three on the morning He broke into a locked house
Or maybe, be the kind of dad that your kids aren't afraid to approach and feel as if they have to sneak around you.
