That’s been a pet peeve of mine for the longest. If you’re an adult, you should assume adult responsibilities. At 25 in a decent society one should be “husband” or “wife” not boyfriend or girlfriend.That’s absurd. At my age it’s just undignified.
OTOH, it makes perfect sense for someone who was just released from jail.
