It's the first step towards censorship. Instead of an open and free internet we will have sites like FR shutdown because these large companies with shareholders say it is in the nations best interests.
If you want to call that censorship, then a whole lot of other things that are done in the name of protecting shareholder value are going to be reclassified as something other than a business decision as well.

People won't differentiate between Google censorship and a company that removes in store posters of queer weddings after their sales drop when people start talking about that ad campaign.
