The social anxiety that is often a part of it, yes.
It’s like the difference between night and day. I feel like myself now, not a basket of fears and worries that defined me for most of my life.
After that, management comes with practice.
Yes, Down Syndrome is still what it is called. And they definitely have visible facial differences that make them all look like they came from the same family. No matter their background. They always have a significant IQ deficit. But in some cases they are very healthy and productive, loving members of society. In others, they have terrible related conditions like with their hearts that can threaten their lives, and they may have any kind of intellectual capacity from profoundly affected to quite mildly.
People with autism don’t look any special way unless their autism is combined with another genetic syndrome.
I thought elmo already had autism...
