MARKSVILLE, La. (KLFY) – A jury has found Derrick Stafford guilty of manslaughter in the death of 6-year-old autistic boy and guilty of attempted manslaughter for wounding the boy’s father, The Associated Press reports.
Stafford was indicted on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. He will be sentenced on March 31, 2017.

That was literally a case of “hands up don’t shoot” that was captured on video, but the officer doing the shooting is black so the media killed the story.
It gets better, watch the video. The wives are crying “this is racist!!” because their husbands were found guilty.
Was this the case where somebody was cheating or the ex-wife lied about him doing something, then a low-speed — not high-speed — car chase? I don’t even know what keywords or title words to look for to find the initial story.

A year-plus to go to trial, “murder and attempted murder” bargained down to “manslaughter”, like he hit the kid in his driveway instead of emptying his pistol, and the other cop isn’t even in the story any more. Must be nice.

It’s too distracting to the progressives focus on advanced political correctness.
Not a plea bargain, it was a jury verdict. Although it could have been what we lawyers call a "compromise verdict"-- 10 jurors want to convict of murder, 2 want to acquit, they all agree on manslaughter.

“Stafford testified Friday that he shot at the car because he feared Few was going to back up and hit the other deputy, Norris Greenhouse Jr.”
So evidently Few wasn’t backing up. The cop was afraid that Few MIGHT back up.

Well, they certainly beat the rap with that. They were clearly guilty of murder.
Well, tattoo ‘COP’ on them, front and back, and put them in general population in Angola and see if the error can be rectified.
It was capital murder, but it was Marksville, so I am not surprised. I try to drive around this place. Hell, I try to drive around that parish.
