Somebody please help me here. What is it about the stripes on the guardrail that have to be removed? I don’t get it.....thanks I looked up X-LITE end terminal unsafe and this type of picture came up a lot:
So rather than a crushable barrier that slows you down or a rail that starts many feet from the road and gradually bends into the straight section, this just impales your car if you hit it.

Nobody has ever confused me of being in Mensa, but if I can see a problem with this photo at first glance shouldn’t all the engineers and computer simulations have picked it up during the design?
