Most puzzling of all is that it must be a criminal violation knowingly to serve an underage customer.
If some have special exemption I would love to know what the legal justification is...

What’s there to stop an 18-year old from sneaking in a pint of booze?
It is-I card everyone without obvious wrinkles.
Of course, every state is different so maybe it’s not a big deal there. Here it’s an automatic fine of $1,000 for the server and $1,000 for the restaurant. Standard for server to be fired. The fines are, I believe, $5,000 for the second violation and the restaurant loses its liquor license.
Or something like that, its been over a year since I took the compliance class.
