I haven’t been able to verify that any I’ve read are unexpurgated. Something in there drove the Victorians out of their minds.
I have read that there are versions with racy stories and violent deaths, but there were none of those in this edition.
The Victorians were perturbed at the sight of a woman’s ankle, so it would not surprise me they would totally obliterate any references to sexual intercourse....................
According to some things I’ve read, Burton’s translation horrified Victorian society.
My grandmother was an adult before the advent of the automobile. I was an adult before the personal computer.
I still love books and libraries. When I’m wondering about something, it can take me weeks to think of googling it.
Thanks for the link.
