Gomer Pile made it in the Marines but Haji can't.
Seems like Siddiqui demonstrated he wasn’t Marine material..
I was always curious why they put new recruits on the third floor. This guy did a header off the 3rd deck.
From what I have read the DI in question had other charges made against him in a prior platoon.
This Muzzie would have killed himself in Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy. F him.
Something fishy here. I was ONLY in NAVY boot camp, a picnic compared to Marine boot camp. Getting insulted and physically “abused” was the normal routine. Many more details required here.
I hope the people who conquored the Pacific haven’t lost to the PC world.
Every muslim recruit is a potential bomb ready to go off. How many Christian soldier did Nidal Hassan and others ‘off? Churchill was right. Islam is to man as rabies is to dogs. No more muzzies in the US.
I wasn’t a Marine, but had friends and relative who were
Boot camp is to break you. Then rebuild you as a Marine.
I never trust or believe MSM headline. The recruit may have been a “Muslim” as much as Madonna is a “Christian.” Its a convenient, politically-correct narrative for the media, that’s all. The recruit no doubt had many other problems
I sympathize with the drill sergeant. He may have simply been doing his job, and was given a mentally-ill recruit who was bound to snap.
“Raheel Siddiqui, 20, of Taylor, Michigan, died in March 2016 after falling nearly 40 feet in a stairwell”
That was a suicide????
Yeah. Right. My BS meter is pegging right now.
But to blame the Drill Instructor? That ain’t right.
This is what D.I.’s do:
They find your potential weakness and pry at it relentlessly to see if you will crack under pressure.
Endurance under pressure...physical and mental....weeds out the unreliable ‘flakes.
D.I’s do this to save lives....one’s own, and others’.
God bless the D.I’s. They let me know I could do more...be more...than I knew I could ever be, or do.
32 years ago when I was going through basic training at fort Jackson South Carolina I witnessed serval attempts at suicide by young men that could not hack going through basic training. I bet that this kid would of tried to commit suicide even if he was not refer to as a terrorist by his drill Sargent. the role of the drill Sargent is to look for a mental weakness of the individual and go after it so that when you finally get into a combat situation that weakness wont get him or another soldier killed.
This story doesn’t make sense to me
I’ve known folks who became suicidal during basic but they usually get discharged.
The atty us suggesting something far darker
PI, in the early 50's, was staffed by WWII vets who knew best how to prepare a Marine for his destiny...Kill as many as possible of those slant-eyed chicoms before you die...
