The pretty Arabella Rose Kushner, the five year old daughter of Ivanka (Trump) and Jared Kushner sang in Mandarin for visiting Chinese President Xi Jimping.
Poor Xi.
OMG, that’s worse than showing pictures of your kids to everyone and forcing them to talk to them on the phone. They’re here on state business for gosh sakes, not to have a bunch of kids paraded in.
We all know Arabella can sing Mandarin songs because Ivanka has posted them all over youtube. Fine, she’s a cute kid but this was inappropriate.
lol...he was polite and gracious.
I think it showed great sense and showed the interest the Trumps have in things Chinese.
Maybe a number of our children should learn Chinese.
That’s what he says in public!!!
You’re right. I realize Trump wouldn’t be able to get Streisand to sing...but a grandkid?! That’s tantamount to war in my opinion.
Ya just never know though how these things work in the hearts of men. Perhaps the Trump administration will develop a better relationship with China than the past administrations. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
Wait. You mean the little kid didn’t sing in Russian?
What’s next, singing the call to prayer?
Actually the little girl is VERY popular in China. Her mom put a video up some time ago, and it had millions of hits in China.
Nonsense.
For Asian cultures, it’s all about respect. Illustrating that someone in your family cares enough to learn a very difficult language underscores that and probably does more good than hours of business meetings. Trump understands this.
Hey, thanks for that.
Ivanka is considered a goddess by Chinese women.
They want to be like her ..... have even coined a phrase “what would Ivanka do” to guide their actions.
Not bad for a 5 year old.
I agree, my kids, who are all home schooled, have learned English, Russian and Mandarin Chinese .
What good is spanish and french?
Chinese is a difficult language......not to mention all the dialects in that huge country.
Could be wrong, but I think Mandarin is the dialect of diplomacy.
