LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities arrested the man suspected in the seemingly random Las Vegas knife attacks that left one man dead and another bleeding in an alley, police said.
Richi Briones, 32, was taken into custody at a bus stop Wednesday night, police said in a news release. Briones' car was found abandoned about 20 miles (32 kilometers) away.
A man escaped without injury in the first attack at about 9:30 a.m. east of downtown Las Vegas, police said....

Spent a night at a friends house in Vegas last year. We sat in the living room watching the local news. After awhile I asked them, does this go on every day ? Yes was the answer.
We do have concealed carry in my state. But you can’t legally carry everywhere (I don’t have a small frame weapon, per se). The smallest I have is 9mm and steel framed so it’s very heavy. But it shoots fairly-accurately for what it is, though you have to stick to certain ammo (most of what I have bought over the years is Federal).
I have pepper-spray for non-lethal. I hope I never need something more. Had a rechargeable taser but it went on the fritz for unknown reasons. Import that lasted about 1-1/2 years (I found some work some time ago - it was a disaster, of course, lol - impossible to teach morons anything).

I carry everywhere I can legally go armed. I try not to go to “NO GUN ZONES”. I do have a very small 32.
