I figured from the beginning that he wanted to take her to Mexico. Lucky for them both, he didn’t get that done. Some areas of Mexico, it’s very dangerous to be a middle-aged Gringo traveling with (or running off with) a young, nubile girl who most likely would have been assaulted and kidnapped from her ‘Abuelo’ or Grandad. There would have been hush money to be paid once they found out who this couple were. He only had access to about $4500 liquid cash during this misadventure. His wife had noticed the amount missing from their family account.

That would be pretty tough to do... Mexico doesn’t take illegal immigrants lightly.

Non-native born citizens can’t buy property. Also can’t become voting citizens.
