This was the most disturbing scene in the movie “Downfall” (the real movie that the “Hitler finds out” YouTube parodies are based on).
They showed everything in graphic detail, not holding anything back.
Very depressing film. Definitely not a re-watch.
IIRC, the oldest Goebbels daughter grew suspicious and was forcibly poisoned.
Soviet footage of the six slain children is horrific.
All because Magda Goebbels didn’t want them “living in a world without Hitler”. Not, “I don’t want them captured by the Russians” (they could have been evac’d). A true Nazi, that one.
