In these kinds of vehicles, a lot of the rates have limitations that wouldn’t come on a Camry. And a place like Des Moines would be vastly different from someplace in New Jersey.

I drive an exotic. The insurance is quite reasonable - however it is 6 years old so with the massive depreciation comes a massive reduction in insurance premium.

I have also never been responsible for an accident.

I don’t buy new exotics but rather single owner, 5-20k miles, 4-6 years old. Many of them are stupidly cheap. To buy. Maintenance is considerably more than average but not as bad as you might think.
