President Donald J. Trump fired now-former FBI Director James Comey to send a message to Senator John McCain, sources close to the White House confirm.
Earlier this year, McCain went after Trump with widely discredited opposition research that he immediately shared with Comey, his longtime friend.
Comey worked with McCain to go after businessman Jack Abramoff after Abramoff stopped McCain from winning the Republican Primary in 2000.
McCain has since been working with FBI Director Comey to help undermine President Trump since Trump was elected.
The FBI firing move, which did not leak, was carried out by White House counsel Don McGahn and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. President Trump deliberately kept Reince Priebus and Sean Spicer in the dark to keep them from leaking.

shows Sean Spicer giving those briefings. I also could have sworn to see him on FOX News giving the briefing in the WH. Unless that was an imposter looking exactly like and talking exactly like Sean Spicer. I don’t remember SNL being on in the middle of the afternoon on the Fox News channel.
Sean Spicer was back in the WH on Monday and Tuesday. If he was kept out of the loop, and I am not saying he was, if he was kept out of the loop there is good reason he was.

Guess which state hates its senators the most? Yes, it’s Arizona, we came in first place in a recent survey. McQueeg has the stupid senior citizen vote locked up, Flake is part of the Mormon mafia. It’s disgusting, I absolutely despise both of my senators. But of the two, McQueeg is by far the worst.

The people of Arizona could have fired McCain and replaced him with a solid conservative in last years primary, but they stuck with the senile old coot.
McCain should be removed as chairman of the Senate Armed Services Cmtee.
All of his decisions were calculated and he lied to Congress and usurped the chain of command. Session's was his bosses Boss and he acted as if he was in charge of Session's and the entire Justice Dept. He also has an ego where he thinks he is the smartest person in the room. He continues to be wrong, Major arrogance and delusions of grandeur. He though he was untouchable. His ego is evident in his good bye letter. He was such a political operative and tried to act as if he was neutral. He needs to just get a grip and let it go. Majority of people see him as a political hack.
That prosecution was as bogus as could be, and really only served to convince thinking people you should never talk to a Federal official without a lawyer present.
