Well, I had 15 of 16 Bush Early Girl seeds. Grew indoors for 2 months - never got big but looked healthy. One day in the Sun and they’re all pretty much dead. I’m trying some 20 cent seeds I got at Walmart. Put radishes (not my taste per se) in where they were today.

Same thing with carrots - 2-1/2 inches - dead after one day in the Sun. I have no idea how I grew a few dozen (tiny) carrots last year. They were outside the whole time. Must have been different breed.

So I’m going to try the cheap tomato and carrot seeds. 40 cent investment.

Meanwhile, the WM Bush Early Girl plant has 23+ tomatoes growing on her. Amazing.

Sometimes it’s best to plant straight to the ground-stuff can acclimate gradually that way. It’s part of the winter sown method to plant seeds in the winter, put them outdoors and let it go. Stuff tends to come up when it’s time.
