This show has gone further than it ever should have. The British version only had a season three because they thought they needed to kill off Francis since they had gone as far as they could have.
I watched the first season and it was pretty good. I had to give it up at the end of the second season when Spacey’s character, as Vice President, had a threesome with his wife and his secret service agent. That was it for me.
So I gave up and really don’t care where this story goes.
I hope the agent was female, at least.
The British series only had four episodes per season too, so the writers didn’t have to write unnecessary plot detours to fill a bunch of extra hours.
Yeah, that was really creepy and hard to watch. Don’t know why they threw in that crap, unless it was suggest that that sort of morality is par for the course for tyrants like Francis.
