It’s not new. Maybe not as graphic, at least the d-bicycle and wrist thing parts. But for sure the Aerosmith and Nugent fan base wasn’t mainly comprised of pre-teen and teen girls.

Plenty of teen girls in both bands' fan base. The difference back then was that the band members were screwing them. Nugent would be in prison today for the things he did with his underage female fans during the 1970s. His taste for not-quite-legal-yet "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" was legendary. Aerosmith were no different.

No vapors or feigned anything needed today.

Glad you can put things in perspective.

Ok. No problem.

I actually think that there’s always been double entendres and lyrics about sex.

The big difference is the cleverness and artistry.

It’s low level today.

Dumbed down and rank, no joy.

Right, Ted Nugent’s 1977 fanbase and Ariana Grande’s are really similar. Both are almost completely comprised of 8-16 year old girls and gay men, OK. Plenty of 8 year old girls going to see Aerosmith back in the day. They really enjoyed the back up dancers simulated gay grinding to ‘sweet emotion’ and Steven Tyler’s colorful scarves.

Shakespeare is rife with sexual references. Even Chaucer made a few bawdy jokes, as did Pope, Marlowe, and Dickens. But the caliber of the artistry behind them — the subtlety and pausible deniability — has woefully declined.

“I actually think that there’s always been double entendres and lyrics about sex.”

Seriously. Look at some of the hits from the 40’s and actually LISTEN and yeah... Dirty songs have been around as long as there has been singing.

She facetiously quipped "I hate Americans" at a donut shop. She was being flippant. Anyhow, she wasn't talking about all Americans, just fat ones.

“It’s hard to believe anything like this passes for entertainment these days. You might as well just send your kids to a titty bar.”

Where your kids would be the entertainment.

The videos, taken from behind the counter of the doughnut shop, is from a surveillance camera placed more or less at eye level. Grande and her boyfriend/backup dancer Ricky Alvarez and some friends wait on the other side as some doughnuts are brought up. At one point the pair goof with one another, bringing their mouths close to some doughnuts; then Grande's tongue pops out and she licks one briefly.

When an employee brings out a tray of the sweet confections, Grande declares, "What the [expletive] is that? I hate Americans. I hate America."

Cashier Mayra Solis, who was working in the shop, said Grande did not buy any of the doughnuts she touched with her tongue. "She was really rude," she told the Associated Press.

Actual quote. Source

This is different. It’s promoting promiscuity to very young girls.

A lot of old people don’t get how this is worse than the rock music from the 70’s and 80’s. The difference is this is not hard rock being listened to by boys where a male singer brags about his prowess, it’s bubble gum pop listened to exclusively by pre-pubescent and adolescent girls directly telling them to be sluts. There was no pop music quite like this before the late 90’s.

A lot older people probably don’t understand that younger men in the UK don’t care very much that these girls were killed because of the degenerate nature of the music. Girls who listen to this kind of music are the ones who will have multiple baby daddies and be on welfare in a few years. It’s seen as no big loss.

That is a big part of the reason for the muted backlash. If a traditional pub in a small town or an amateur soccer game was attacked, there would be more anger from young men. If a Manchester United game were blown up, most young men of the sort who like to fight would just say “who cares about that corporate globalized crap?”

Same with the London bridge attack. Only wealthy globalized elites can afford to drink in that area. Non-wealthy young men in the UK don’t identify with those people or care if they get killed by Muslims since they are the people who want the Muslims here to begin with. Look at how many of the victims were not even British.

I understand that this information will be hard for older people to assimilate.

I think we have to give people a little more credit ... even teenage girls.

.....
And 8-year-old girls...?

Hey, even before the 40’s.

The 20’s were great for it.

Their welfare belongs to their parents. What is an 8-year-old doing at a porno concert to begin with?

Exactly. The pedophile child molesters at Disney and at Nickelodeon have been quietly pushing filth on children for a while now. Does the name Miley Cyrus ring a bell?

Unfortunately, the parents are not paying attention and think that this stuff is as innocent as it was when they were children.

Serious music, or even opera buffa, or jongleur music that WAS the entertainment of yesteryear had moral flaws or toilet humor. Even in the coarse culture of today, there are millions of kids playing violent video games....and yet violent crime rates are way down. Yes, reasonable parents should (and do) keep GTA away from their 13-yr old gamer, but I don't hear about shoot outs between upper class kids after 7 hours of online battle.

It is easy to bash the entertainer, or the media, or Madison Avenue. And where we think they are out of line, we SHOULD say something-witness the Kathy Griffin episode. Indeed, that's a shining example that harkens back to when civilization had a social structure (and backbone) that acted as the moral glue that filled in the cracks and crevices that the government dam (rightly) left in the hands of the people.

I submit to you that the degradation in culture, out of wedlock birth statistics, divorce rates, and the like (including 8year old girls listening to this dreck) have more to do with selfish parents and spouses than Madonna, Katy Perry, and Arianna Grande. Though those women may share some blame, it is easier to bash the tarts because they aren't our neighbors, friends, or family members...they are soft targets. Try telling one's cousin Bob on his 3rd wife that maybe his son Johnny is in rehab again because Bob is a narcissistic jackwagon ...THAT is hard but effective work, but we don't seem to do that much anymore. Maybe we should.
