James Comey thinks, but did not say, that President Trump is going to be toast once the special counsel is done with him — and all because of three little words Trump might have sung in the manner of Elsa the Ice Queen: “Let this go.”
Comey clearly intimated that Trump’s conduct toward him was an effort to obstruct justice when it came to the investigation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — and that special counsel Robert Mueller would be just the guy to get to the bottom of what is clearly an impeachable offense.
That was the key revelation of the former FBI director’s gripping Senate hearing Thursday. Comey said the president’s behavior at a February White House meeting — during which Trump cleared the room so he and Comey could have a private tete-a-tete about Flynn — had “stunned” him.
That was when, according to the document he released Wednesday, Trump said to him, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go.”
Comey said he believed this was intended as “direction” and he found it “a very disturbing thing, very concerning” the president would say such a thing.
Republican Sen. Jim Risch sought to limit the damage from Comey’s words by pointing out that hoping for something would not be grounds for charging someone with a crime. Comey replied: “This is a president of the United States with me alone saying ‘I hope this.’ I took it as, this is what he wants me to do.”

Comey’s the one who is toast. He lied under oath twice yesterday. If Mueler tries to make an attack on Trump using the remembered hearsay of known liar then he’s going to discover how quickly Trump can fire him.
The author needs to listen to Dershowitz and Comey who said that it is not a federal crime for the President to decide whether a prosecution can go forward or not. And the President also has the power of the pardon. Ford pardoned Nixon even before he was charged with anything.

Of course Trump wanted the Flynn affair to be resolved because the Left was using it to bleed him dry and as grounds for a fake claim of “collusion” and “obstruction” with a goat, or whatever.
Flynn made some personal mistakes and was fired. Comey screwed up the Hillary investigation and was made into a LAW GOD. Something is wrong here.
Would love to know of any roll Comey had in backing Holder’s coverup of “Fast and Furious”. The same for the Lynch-Clinton meeting about which he did NOTHING.

Comey is dishonest and incompetent, as he has proved repeatedly. IF he really thought that President Trump was giving him any inappropriate never mind illegal “instruction” or order, it was his moral and professional duty to object immediately and to report it to his superiors (Atty General and Deputy Atty General). Ofc as we know Comey did not do this.
He did NOT really believe it was an “instruction” and/or he is a cowardly incompetent weasel. Well, definitely the latter is true.
In the meantime the people actually involved say it was a leak, not a hack, and guess where that leads?
So I’m guessing they will never let this go. They cannot. The alternative may come with justice.
The whole article is James Comey said something therefore it’s true. For example, Comey said Trump is a liar. How did he lie? He said Comey did a bad job. Yep, the first fired employee ever to insist he did a good job and the boss is a liar. /s
Wait until President Trump’s actual recording of the dinner is compared to Comey’s leaked memo. Boom!
If you can understand Trump language, you will know he said today, that his answer to the existence of such a recording will be in the positive. The media will be so sad because that is not the answer they wanted.
This whole thing is made up to protect them all from the spying charge and other crimes.
