An eviscerated great white shark has washed up on a South African beach, the latest fearsome predator to fall victim to killer whales in that area.
Last month, reports emerged that great white sharks were becoming prey for orcas off of South Africas coast.

I tried shark once, it wasn’t that good. I like seafood, but this was a little too fatty.
I root for the orcas!
Michael Vick could invest in it.
KILLER Whales.
K-I-L-L-E-R Whales.
Not Friendly Whales or Helpful Whales.
Killer Whales.
Vick was just cruel to animals. Killer Whales are saving human lives by keeping the great white population down.
No better eating than an under 6’ blacktip but orca can have all that liver. It wouldn’t even make sushi.
Orcas are bigger, faster, smarter and hunt in groups. All the Great White has is better teeth.
Shark meat is dry.
Mother Nature is a bitch...Really.
Orcas have figured out the trick of turning the shark upside down.
Dolphins can take down a White as well. Smart and fast creatures.

Killer Whales.”
No, they’re not friendly. There’s no affirmative action in the ocean, only eat or be eaten. These guys are probably the most intelligent out there (or, perhaps, a not-too-distant 2nd to porpoises), so they can hunt cooperatively in packs to great effect against large opponents.

“Orcas are bigger, faster, smarter and hunt in groups.”
They are the John Shaft of the ocean cause they are “bad muthas”!
Interesting. In nature predators usually go for prey that does not or can not fight back.
Now, the shark was in an upside-down position, which will make them go comatose. The experts that they spoke to wondered if the Orcas have figured out that this is a weakness of sharks and are now taking advantage of that.
The Orca(s) did go immediately for the liver of the shark when they tore it open.
It was a kind of fascinating documentary, solving the question of who would win a battle: Orca vs. Great White shark. In this case, at least, Orca.
Thresher shark is pretty good; reminded my a little bit of swordfish, but a little fattier.
I’ll eat anything that comes from the ocean unless it’s a mammal or a plant. I know fish can make good pets, but you can’t cuddle with them or make them your friends. Beside the aquarium fish, the only thing I find useful from them is the tastiness of their formerly living selves. Sorry if I’ve offended a lot of fish.
See post #7. SanchoP is right. Juvenile Blacktip is my favorite but I prepare it and cook it myself. Never have tried shark in a restaurant. I think you would like mine, ALOT!
