‘I understand you want to provoke your audience, but do you want to do that in the theater or before they even get there?’

I do not understand the audience; I don't go to a play to be provoked. I go to be entertained, and perhaps for a positive and uplifting message, nothing more. Who wants a "comedy about abortion"? Who laughs at that?
